Have you considered the incredible blessing of being redeemed by Jesus Christ?
Ephesians 1:7 In him [Jesus] we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace,
Revelation 5:9 And they sang a new song, saying, “Worthy are you [Jesus] to take the scroll and to open its seals, for you were slain, and by your blood you ransomed people for God from every tribe and language and people and nation… To be redeemed is to be set free. When slaves were redeemed they would be purchased by a caring individual of means for the express purpose of immediately being released from the bondage of slavery. We too have been redeemed – purchased to be set free – from the bondage of sin. The One who paid the steep price of our redemption deserves our deepest gratitude and humility… and service.
