Psalm 103:12 As far as the east is from the west, so far does he remove our transgressions from us.
Colossians 2:13 And you, who were dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses.
1 John 2:12 I am writing to you, little children, because your sins are forgiven for his name’s sake.
1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Ephesians 1:7 In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace.
God is holy and cannot tolerate any sin. We have all sinned and were separated from God because of His holiness. We deserve damnation. But God sent Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God, to live a sinless life before being unjustly crucified. Jesus’ sacrificial death on the cross – the blood He shed in cruel torture – covers our sins when we believe. Today, lets ponder the blessing of having our sins forgiven by the blood of Jesus Christ and having our consciences cleansed of guilt. One of the best ways to express our gratitude for our forgiveness is to extend forgiveness to others.
